The following ICE corpora can be downloaded from this page.

* ICE East Africa comes in several different versions, including plain text, .rtf, and retagged versions for Wordsmith. All the versions are included in a single download.

All downloads are encrypted zip files. In order to open them, you will need a password (one per corpus).

To obtain the password (please read these instructions carefully):

• Download the Licence Agreement for the relevant corpus, here:

• Print the Licence Agreement.
• Complete the Licence Agreement with your signature, affiliation address, and email address, and post or fax it to:

NB: The licence must be sent by post or fax. Due to space limitations on my email server, please do not send it by email. The licence must be signed.

• When I have received the signed agreement, I will send you the relevant password by email. The passwords are case-sensitive. NB: I sometimes receive faxes in which the sender's email is illegible. If I can't read your email address, I can't send the passwords.
• After you send the fax, please be patient. I receive a very large number of requests for ICE corpora, and can rarely respond to them immediately. But I will respond....
• There is a separate Licence Agreement and a separate password for each corpus.
• To unlock the files, you may need the latest version of Winzip. Get it here.
• To enter the password, it's a good idea to copy & paste it from the email I send you, rather than typing it yourself.
• Keep a copy of the signed agreement for your own records.
