The following ICE corpora can be downloaded from this page.

All downloads are encrypted zip files. In order to open them, you will need a password (one per corpus).

To obtain the password (please read these instructions carefully):

Download the Licence Agreement (.doc file)

Complete the Licence Agreement with your signature, affiliation address, and email address, and send it to:

If you send the signed agreement as an email attachment, please use the subject line "ICE Licence". Please note that the agreement must be signed (with your signature, not a typed name)..

When I have received the signed agreement, I will send you the relevant password(s) by email. The passwords are case-sensitive.

After you send the agreement, please be patient. I receive a very large number of requests for ICE corpora, and can rarely respond to them immediately. But I will respond....

To unlock the files, you may need the latest version of Winzip. Get it here. If you have difficulty unzipping the files, try launching Winzip first, and use the Winzip Wizard to unzip the file. This works better than double-clicking on the zip file.

To enter the password, it's a good idea to copy & paste it from the email I send you, rather than typing it yourself.

Keep a copy of the signed agreement for your own records.

NOTE TO TEACHERS
If your students need ICE corpora for coursework, please note that a single licence agreement is sufficient for the whole class. The agreement form should be signed by you, the teacher. Please do not ask each of your students to contact me individually.
